Full Circle Compost and local Environmental Protection Agencies work together
yearly to create Zero-Waste Earth Day celebrations in Northern Nevada and
the Tahoe Basin. Shown is the waste—in compostable bags—from
the 2005 Reno Earth Day. Compostable plates and utensils are used
in lieu of the styrofoam or plastic that is typically used at such events. All
the food residuals and other compostable wastes are collected and brought
down to our site where we screen them and use them as ingredients in our
high-quality humus products. Though we usually only accept greenwaste
for recycling, special arrangements can be made to accommodate these Zero-Waste
events.
Are you interested in making your next big occasion a Zero-Waste affair? Check out the form below or contact us for more information. We are committed to helping bring compostable waste full circle and are happy to see that you are too. Way to be!
