We formulate our products to meet the unique challenges the Sierra Front has to offer.

Paradise Bird Feed

Full Circle Compost is proud to carry the full line of Paradise Bird Feed products. The following is the introductory quote from their catalog:

"Paradise Bird Feed is dedicated to the survival of songbirds, which are faced with devastating competition from ever-growing hordes of bigger and more aggressive birds, especially European starlings. Starlings were introduced into the U.S. early in the late 1800s when 100 pairs were released into Central Park, in New York City. These fast multiplying birds are now among the most populous species in our hemisphere. And because of their voracious appetite, food sources and nesting places for smaller, more timid birds such as finches, titmice, juncos and chickadees have been decimated.

Limited food sources, nesting sites threatened by larger birds and shrinking natural habitat are just three of the problems facing the songbirds we all love to have in our back yards. That's why Paradise Bird Feed exists: We have developed a unique, patented songbird feeding concept, Seedsox® which puts our quality Nyjer Thistle seeds out of the reach of starlings, magpies, jays, sparrows and other bully-bird competitors!

Seedsox® are a self-contained seed dispensers which include a hanging loop that can be easily hooked out of reach of predators from a tree branch or a roof overhang where the birds that visit them can be observed. We like to say that "One of Life's Little Pleasures" is watching songbirds come and go for the food you have provided for them, knowing that you are helping them survive.

The folks at Paradise Bird Feed -- as well as all of us here at Full Circle Compost -- are deeply concerned about the survival of our songbirds, and we know you are too. Together, we can make a difference!"
