Full Circle Compost is located on the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, directly below Lake Tahoe, in the beautiful Carson Valley.

We formulate our products to meet the unique challenges the Sierra Front has to offer.

The Organic Process

Enlarge this photoThe secret to making GREAT compost involves the right recipe, proper aeration, and detailed moisture management. At Full Circle Compost, we consider composting a process. The end result of this process is HUMUS. We view composting as a way of farming microbes and we seek to nurture and expand their populations in our humus. It is this microbial workforce contained within our SOIL ESSENCE HUMUS that makes it so effective. Remember, organic matter is NOT plant food! Organic matter becomes plant food only AFTER it goes through the stomach of a microbe!

Enlarge this photoDeveloping the best recipe and the best product hinges largely on the diversity of usable feedstocks available for the composting process. 100% of our feedstock materials originate from the local community, diverting it from the landfill and returning it to the soil in a healthy, useful form! At Full Circle Compost, we pride ourselves on being the first permitted organic materials recycling facility in the State of Nevada, processing nearly 2000 tons of material annually.

Enlarge this photoWe are also the first composting site involved in recycling organic materials, including forest bio-mass from defensible space programs, from the Lake Tahoe Basin and returning them in the form of our INTEGRATED TAHOE BLENDS, proven to prevent soil from eroding into beautiful Lake Tahoe!
