Integrated Tahoe Blends

We deliver to Lake TahoeINTEGRATED TAHOE BLENDS are the end result of the "Advanced Composting System" method of composting. This system, originally developed by Midwest Bio-Systems in Tampico, IL, allows for the rapid breakdown of a wide range of organic materials. The combined use of aeration, microbiological inoculants, and careful monitoring of the critical variables involved in the composting process eliminates odor and harmful runoff. The resulting product of this integrated system is a water-stable, highly aerobic humified compost specially formulated for erosion control and fertility applications in the Lake Tahoe Basin or any other applications involving native species such as conifers and evergreens.

At Full Circle Compost, all feedstock materials originate from within a 50-mile radius of our facility, are organic in nature, and contain NO biosolids. The compost recipe feedstocks shall consist of 50%, by volume, indigenous forest vegetation from the Lake Tahoe Basin. The primary nitrogen sources are cow manure, horse manure, alfalfa, grass clippings, green waste, kelp, and hydrolyzed fish protein. All recipes include green plant material due to their contribution of enzymes and up to 10% clay for the colloidal aspect necessary to produce the crumb structure and nutrient holding capacity of quality humus. Pathogen and weed seed concerns are addressed with thermophilic temperatures maintained between 135 and 165 degrees Fahrenheit for a minimum of 15 days. Turning frequency is determined by DAILY temperature, CO2, and moisture monitoring, resulting in an average of more than 15 turnings of an individual row to complete the composting cycle. If Carbon Dioxide levels reach 11%, windrows shall be turned to introduce more Oxygen.

All INTEGRATED TAHOE BLENDS meet the written specifications that exist for use in the Lake Tahoe Basin and have been approved by the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency.

Our INTEGRATED TAHOE BLENDS are available in four varieties. For a detailed description of each product, click on an item below or to the right.
