Humified Compost
SOIL ESSENCE HUMUS is the end result of the "Advanced Composting System" method of composting. This system, originally developed by Midwest Bio-Systems in Tampico, IL, allows for the rapid breakdown of a wide range of organic materials. The combined use of aeration, microbiological inoculants, and careful monitoring of the critical variables involved in the composting process eliminates odor and harmful runoff. The resulting product of this integrated system is a water-stable, highly aerobic humified compost which has proven to be extremely beneficial in farming, gardening, and landscaping applications.

Soil Essence™ Humus is our flagship product. Humus improves soil in a variety of ways. As a matter of fact, scientists have identified as many as 1,000 different benefits from Humus in the soil!
Soil Essence Plus™ is a water-stable, highly aerobic, humified compost with a rock powder mineral blend added to it. Soil Essence Plus™ has proven to be extremely beneficial in farming, gardening, and landscaping applications.
Soil Essence Elite ™ is a powerful, multifaceted product designed to fortify potting mixes and garden soils. Use as a top dressing for turf as well as a nutrient mulch for trees and plants. Soil Essence Elite™ supplements and stimulates indigenous soil microbes, allowing plants to feed themselves. Soil Essence Elite™ is the definition of Soil Satisfaction™.
Soil Essence Elite N+ ™ is an ecologically friendly, cost effective way to give your lawn, house plants, and container plants the nitrogen they crave. It is unlike any other soil amendment on the market. Elite N+™ is an ultra biologically active, all organic amendment blended with an optimal amount of nitrogen fertilizer. Our microbial workforce stabilizes the nitrogen insuring that valuable nutrients are not leached during irrigation.
Soil Essence Golf has all of the benefits of our Soil Essence Humus but is made especially for Golf Courses. It is a super-fine manure-free compost screened to ¼" minus. Soil Essence Golf has evolved from a long working relationship with Lahontan Golf Course in Truckee, CA, and Incline Golf Course in Incline Village, NV. What we found was a subtle relationship between a manure-based compost and an increased clover presence in turf.
