2008 Spring Fling

This two day Special Event took place April 4th and 5th 2008 and was sponsored by Full Circle Compost, Renner Equipment Company and Hungry Mother Organics.

The Spring Fling Event was quite a success. Even with the winds, on Friday we had about 15 people for seminars and on Saturday we had about 25 people in attendance at each speaking engagement. There was FREE BBQ & DRINKS.

Craig and Mark did excellent jobs entertaining the people who attended and also educating them on cold-frame and greenhouse vegetable growing, discovering the secrets for using and producing high quality compost. Attendees received FREE organic transplants and other Raffle Prizes.

Renner Equipment company did a wonderful job feeding everyone with a B.B.Q. and drinks both days.

Antendees learned how to wiggle their way into producing valuable "worm wash" from what you are currently putting down your garbage deposal.

“How to grow the ultimate “Love Apples”?

They also learned the romance and intimate details of growing exceptional tomatoes.

“Cold Frame Gardening”

Using cold frames and greenhouses for vegetable gardening in Nevada was also covered to learn how to extend the growing season by creating a microclimate for your plants. We also covered appropriate vegetable varieties, using drip irrigation and mulches.
