The plants that can tolerate these dry, saline, high potassium conditions are not the plants we are trying to grow. Invasive weeds like the tall whitetop (left) and lambsquarters (right) shown here are naturally present all over the south Reno area.

Gee, is the soil hard???

The answer to the problem is.....

Our comprehensive soil analysis of the Double Diamond and Damonte area of South East Reno let us in on a "Dirty Little Secret." More is not always better!

Boron is 8 times the recommended amount
Sodium is 3 times the recommended amount
Potassium is 12 times the recommended amount
pH is 1.5 points higher than it should be
Humus is 8 times LOWER than the recommended amount

The Double Diamond Blend is a complex humus, mineral nutrient blend, specifically designed for these challenging soil conditions.
