Can-O-Worms
Here at Full Circle Compost, we use several different styles of worm composting systems in our Vermiculture operation. During the last ten years, we have come to recognize what we feel are the easiest and most productive systems to use for operations of various sizes.
It is our honest opinion that the CAN-O-WORMS worm farm is the best system available for the average homeowner or worm enthusiast who wants to convert their food waste into nutrient-rich, 100% organic VERMICOMPOST for use on houseplants and in the garden. We are so excited to be able to offer this system for sale to our customers! The CAN-O-WORMS worm farm is user-friendly, easy to operate, and fun for all ages! It is so versatile that it can be left on a balcony or in a laundry room for apartment dwellers, or in a shed or a shaded outdoor location for those with a yard. It is also perfect for classroom environments as a great way to get the kids involved and educated on recycling. What a fun way to promote environmental consciousness in our next generations! The CAN-O-WORMS worm farm consists of four trays. The bottom tray is a Collector Tray which has a solid base and tap. Liquid drains through the upper trays into the Collector Tray where it can be tapped and used as a liquid fertilizer. The worms are started off in the first Working Tray and simply 'eat their way up', wriggling into the Working Tray above where they can detect the food scraps which you have placed there. By the time the top Working Tray is full, most of the worms have left the original Working Tray where they began. You can then remove the original Working Tray, harvest the VERMICOMPOST for your use, and then return that tray to the top to start again. Thus, the cycle is never ending and you will always have a convenient, natural, and efficient way to dispose of your food waste while, at the same time, ensuring a constant supply of your very own top quality fertilizer!
We offer the CAN-O-WORMS in its original, unassembled form; however, we also offer the CAN-O-WORMS completely assembled and fully functioning! We offer this complete package at a discounted price over the combined price of the individual components to ensure the customer receives an established, fully productive system along with one tray of finished, usable VERMICOMPOST which can go straight onto houseplants or into the garden!
