April 22 - 23, 2010
Over 1500 kids per day will get a chance to learn more about where their food and clothing comes from when they visit Capital City Farm Days, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., April 22 & 23 at Fuji Park / Carson City's Fairgrounds. [ Map / Directions ]
Students from Carson, Douglas, Lyon and new to the project is Washoe County School Districts in northern Nevada will be treated to numerous presentations and hands-on displays featuring dairy cows, horses, pigs, sheep, composting and much more. The annual event is sponsored by University of Nevada Cooperative Extension.
Approximately 32 station talks explain where and how we get our food and clothing and how agriculture affects our environment and our environment affects agriculture.
